Bill's Mountain is located in Lake Lure, western North Carolina. The town of Lake Lure, which is located in Rutherford County, sits in the heart of Hickory Nut George, 25 miles southeast of Asheville and 20 miles from Hendersonville. This area is a beautiful place to visit and a wonderful place to live. The climate is unusually temperate as Lake Lure lies in the "thermal belt" of the Blue Ridge mountains. The lake, from which the town gets its name, is an all sports lake consisting of 720 acres with 21 miles of shoreline.
